Jared McBrearty: From Humble Beginnings to Building Connecticut’s Future

 Connecticut native Jared McBrearty has spent most of his life in central Connecticut, where his strong work ethic took root early. At just 11, he began working on farms and doing odd jobs, later entering construction at 16. Starting with concrete work, Jared quickly advanced to foreman and supervisor roles before launching his own concrete business in 2011.

When winter slowed construction, he expanded into interior renovations with a close friend—now his partner at A1 Home Improvement. Over the past 15 years, Jared has transitioned into home renovation and property investment, officially joining A1 in 2022. Since then, he’s helped grow the company’s revenue nearly fivefold while improving operations and expanding roofing, siding, and window services.

In 2024, Jared helped launch A1 Solar, bringing trusted craftsmanship to clean energy. A devoted father and avid reader, he shares his passion for hard work and learning with his 11-year-old son.
