Jared McBrearty: From Early Hustle to Industry Leader

Jared McBrearty hails from Connecticut and has dedicated most of his life to the central part of the state, where he’s built a career grounded in hard work and reliability. He kicked off his working life at just 11 years old, taking on odd jobs and farm work, and by 16, he was diving into the construction world with concrete work. His commitment and perseverance led him to climb the ranks to foreman and supervisor before he took the leap to start his own concrete construction business in 2011.


When winter put a damper on concrete projects, Jared teamed up with a close friend—who is now his partner at A1 Home Improvement—to branch out into interior renovations. Over the last 15 years, he’s shifted his focus toward home renovations and property investments, particularly house flipping. Since officially joining A1 Home Improvement in 2022, he’s played a key role in boosting the company’s revenue by four to five times while also enhancing the roofing, siding, and window divisions.


Jared wears many hats in marketing, sales, and operations, and he takes great joy in mentoring others. He was instrumental in launching A1 Solar, which has become a trusted name in solar contracting in Connecticut. When he’s not working, he’s a dedicated father, an active community volunteer, and a lifelong learner who’s passionate about making a positive difference.
