Jared McBrearty: From Hardworking Beginnings to Community Leader

Jared McBrearty’s story is a powerful example of dedication, growth, and service. A lifelong Connecticut native, Jared has lived in central Connecticut for most of his life. His strong work ethic was shaped early—he began working at age 11, doing odd jobs and spending summers picking vegetables on local farms. At 16, he entered the construction industry through concrete work, eventually rising to foreman and then supervisor roles across several companies.

In 2011, Jared launched his first concrete-focused business. When winter slowed the workflow, he teamed up with a close friend to take on interior renovations—a collaboration that later evolved into what is now A1 Home Improvement. Over the past 15 years, Jared has expanded his expertise into home renovation and real estate investments, especially house flipping, where he has transformed numerous properties through strategic renovations.

After officially joining A1 Home Improvement in 2022, Jared helped grow the company’s revenue by four to five times. He also played a major role in expanding the roofing, siding, and window divisions. His contributions span marketing, sales, and refining installation techniques. As a natural mentor, Jared enjoys helping others grow both professionally and personally. He’s also an avid reader who prefers a good book over television.

In 2023, Jared helped launch A1 Solar, now a trusted solar contractor in Connecticut. The team combines decades of construction experience with solar veterans who each bring more than 10 years of industry knowledge.

Outside of work, Jared values time with his 11-year-old son, especially playing soccer and visiting job sites together. He remains active in his community through his parish, the Knights of Columbus, and charitable work supporting hospitals and individuals battling addiction.
