Jared McBrearty of A1 Home Improvement: Built on Hard Work

Jared McBrearty is a proud Connecticut native who has spent most of his life in central Connecticut, building a career rooted in hard work, resilience, and steady growth. His work ethic began early—at just 11 years old—through odd jobs and summer work picking vegetables on a local farm. Those early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to showing up, learning fast, and doing things the right way.

At 16, Jared entered the construction industry, starting with concrete work. Through dedication and leadership, he worked his way up to foreman and later held supervisor roles at several companies. In 2011, he launched his first concrete construction business. When winter months slowed exterior projects, he teamed up with a close friend to take on interior renovations—work that eventually grew into A1 Home Improvement.

Over the past 15 years, Jared gradually shifted toward full-scale home renovation and property investment, specializing in house flips. He officially joined A1 Home Improvement in 2022, and since then the company’s revenue has grown approximately four to five times. During that time, they’ve also expanded and strengthened their roofing, siding, and window divisions.

Jared plays a hands-on role across the business, contributing to marketing, sales, and refining installation techniques and procedures. He’s especially passionate about mentoring others and helping people grow not only in their careers, but in life. An avid reader, he’ll choose a good book over TV any day.

In 2023, A1 Solar launched and quickly became a trusted solar contractor in Connecticut, combining decades of construction experience with seasoned solar industry professionals.
