The Driven Path of Connecticut’s Own Jared McBrearty

Jared McBrearty’s life is a story of perseverance, hard work, and community commitment. A lifelong resident of central Connecticut, he began working at just 11 years old, taking on odd jobs and spending summers picking vegetables on a local farm. At 16, he entered the construction field through concrete work and rose through the ranks to become a foreman and later a supervisor at multiple companies.

In 2011, Jared launched his first business focused on concrete construction. As winter slowdowns affected work, he expanded into interior renovations with a close friend who later became co-owner of A1 Home Improvement. Over the past 15 years, Jared shifted more into home renovation and real estate investing—especially house flipping. When he officially joined A1 Home Improvement in 2022, he helped grow the company’s revenue by 4–5 times while strengthening the roofing, siding, and window divisions.

Jared’s contributions span marketing, sales, and improving installation techniques. He enjoys mentoring others and believes in helping people grow both in their careers and personal lives. An avid reader, he always prefers a good book over TV.

In 2023, he helped launch A1 Solar, now a trusted solar contractor in Connecticut. Outside of work, Jared enjoys soccer with his 11-year-old son and stays active in his parish, the Knights of Columbus, and charitable efforts supporting individuals battling addiction.
